Things that suck about the new extensions platform. 1. Why a toml file? Literally just to fetch add-on info separately from the add-on iteself? Why toml tho? Not json or truly anything else? That file formats not even supported in Blenders text editor. 2. You still keep denying certain add-ons to be added to the extensions platform, why? No explanations given. Wonder when you come with a code-standards guide and restrict language used inside code. You renamed Ophans to "Unused Data" in the latest release too. Are you THAT hell bend upon diversity and political agendas? 3. Max, Min versions compatibility for add-ons? Why not? Also, why not freaking use semver but a bastardized own concoction? Why don't you have built-in warning labels, or not activate an add-on which is unsupported for that blender version by its definition in the toml file? Why even have it then? 4. Why change the interface so installing an add-on is hidden in a dropdown, which also is just a tiny arrow with no text? So much for "allowing offline use"... you clearly want to require always online. By hiding the option to install from a local file. Without an option to check an add-on individually for updates, too. 5. Why even remove bundled add-ons now needing to be fetched from an online repository? 6. “Repositories” cannot simply be git repositories? Why? 7. Why not have add-on packs? Like mod-packs. Minecraft community got it done, but Blender can't, apparently. Only option is the broken application templates. Which are still developed?So much for that big announcement in 2020 about "Blender Apps." 8. Why do you still install them into AppData? No option to set your second scripts directory as the primary install location. 9. You clearly did not have enough time, but I guess that doesn't interest you? The show must go on.. and after a broken and rushed release, there follows another. 10. In all Forums, people have major concerns and complaints about how you keep renaming stuff in the Python API, no transcription/translation layer to keep the Python API intact for longer than 2 blender versions. Going from asset_lib to asset_lib_ref to asset_lib_reference, to finally asset_library_reference in each release is ludicrous. 11. Why even do this now? Add-Ons still have no python module manager. Needing to either vendorize them and ship them inside the add-on or pollute the entire programs python namespace with conflicting versions. There are WAY more pressing issues than a website where you can install add-ons from, which is half-baked at best, and completely broken at worst. It was also a "solved" problem since every add-on basically included the module to update from a github repo. Thank you for listening to my TEDTalk

That's just... depressing for me, haha. I've always wanted to learn 3D modeling but never had enough confidence to pursue my modeling dreams. It is too scary to begin for me. However, it's great to see people doing amazing work with Blender! Keep it up, everyone!

I switch from 3dsmax to SketchUp. I currently use blender with Sequencer and video editor, very limit tools. Hope blender dev adds more features on VSE.
